I'm Hiring a Business Development Representative
Do you know someone who can help us spread the word about a new AI product?
I’m looking for a business development resource (an individual or firm) who specializes in setting up qualified meetings with CEOs and executive coaches.
I need someone who knows how to get in front of enterprise CEOs and have conversations about their toughest leadership challenges. In other words, not someone who’s doing cold email blasts.
Before I tell you what I’m selling, let me say that I strongly prefer recommendations of someone you have personally worked with and whose results you can vouch for. I want your firsthand experience, good and bad.
What This BDR Will Be Selling
We have built something I’m genuinely proud of: an AI-powered platform designed specifically for CEOs and the coaches who serve them.
The simplest way I can describe it is that the tool functions as the CEO’s coach, trainer, and chief of staff, all in one.
As a coach, the platform offers a confidential sounding board available whenever you need it, trained on how successful CEOs operate. It asks the right questions, pushes back where warranted, and holds you accountable to your own development goals. This is the kind of ongoing guidance that used to require an expensive outside advisor and a scheduled appointment.
As a trainer, the platform gives you a complete methodology for the CEO role (the Chief Executive Operating System - think EOS for enterprise CEOs) available on demand. How do you build a mission and vision that actually guides decisions? How do you construct a strategic plan with real accountability? Most CEOs piece this together over years of trial and error, but they don’t have to.
As a chief of staff, the platform functions as the operating layer that keeps everything moving. It helps you set and track strategic goals, prep for meetings (including board meetings and weekly ops reviews), and does all the other stuff a great chief of staff offers.
And for executive coaches, this platform becomes a powerful extension of their own practice, giving their clients something valuable between sessions and reinforcing the work coaches are already doing.
The Real Challenge of this Role
Our buyers are CEOs of companies with 50+ employees. They are high-level professionals typically between 40 and 65 who have seen every sales tactic in the book and have zero tolerance for wasted time.
Getting their attention requires creativity, persistence, and genuine insight into what keeps them up at night. This BDR won’t succeed here by following a script. They will need to find well-researched, unexpected angles and use modern tools to craft approaches that land.
This is a hard puzzle, and we need someone who is wired to solve it.
Who Thrives Here
This BDR doesn’t need a 10-year resume. They need:
A natural ability to connect with accomplished, driven people, plus the emotional intelligence to earn trust fast
The creativity and tenacity to find a way in when every obvious door is closed
Genuine excitement about AI and a willingness to experiment with tools that didn’t exist 12 months ago
Coachability — they will learn a framework for executive leadership that will make them sharper in every conversation they have for the rest of their career
A competitive streak and the resilience to hear “no” without taking it personally (because they will hear it a lot before they hear “yes”)
Why This Job?
This is an opportunity for someone who wants to:
Work at the intersection of AI and executive leadership, one of the hottest spaces in business right now
Learn directly from me and a team with a proven track record of building and selling companies
Gain an equity stake in something early and meaningful
Develop relationships with CEOs and C-suite executives that will serve them for decades
Enjoy the freedom to bring their own creativity and tools to the role — we don’t want robots
This is a ground-floor opportunity. The person who excels here will grow into a senior commercial role as we scale.
If you know someone smart, hungry, and energized by the idea of cracking one of the hardest audiences in business, I would love to hear from you. Please reach out to me at joel@ceosys.co.
I appreciate your time.
