Quote of the Week

“Being engineering-led means we get involved earlier in the customer's decision cycle often before the product design is locked. . . . Once we're embedded that early, we're very hard to displace.” —Michael Dastoor, CEO, Jabil

Micron had a good week. The chipmaker reported revenue of $54.2 billion, more than four times what it did a year ago, and told investors it still cannot see when supply will catch up with demand. More than 75% of its 2027 output is already committed. The AI memory boom is still booming.

This week we look a little closer at Micron’s situation, along with manufacturer Jabil, which is also feeling the boom’s reverberations, and CarMax, which is embracing an upside amid increased pricing regulation from the FTC.
