As AI continues to take over the world, UBS - the Swiss investment bank that is one of the world’s largest wealth managers - held its annual Global Technology and AI Conference December 3-4, 2025, in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The event brings together tech executives for fireside chats with UBS equity analysts covering semiconductors, software, and cloud infrastructure. This week, let’s look at three presentations from the conference that offer a snapshot of where AI infrastructure stands as 2025 draws to a close.


Intel

Since Lip-Bu Tan took over as CEO in March 2025, Intel has flattened its organization from 11-12 management layers down to 5-6, required engineers to attend customer meetings, and canceled underperforming products that historically would have gotten extensions. The company now faces supply shortages across its product lines, particularly on Intel 7 and 10 nanometer nodes (older manufacturing processes).
